Advantages of USPSbank
Let the actions of the banks speak for themselves. While the banks like to complain about and object to the prospect of the USPS supplying basic bank services to low income unbanked / underbanked / underserved Americans... the simple truth is that last year 93% of the bank branches that were closed were in low income neighborhoods.
Creating a new term, "Bank Deserts", aptly describing the end result...
Rather simple if you look at the facts... the banks do not want low income families!
To hammer home the point... "redlining" of addresses where low income neighborhoods are excluded is STILL prevalent today.
Further, banks have NOT developed nor promoted any new form of basic banking PERIOD. Instead spending millions on the "re-education" of people with the exact same checking product that got the unbanked person in trouble the first time around!
Fool me once, shame on you!
Fool me twice.. I may be unbanked but... seriously... this is the same bank product that GOT ME UNBANKED AND ONTO THE BLACK LIST THE FIRST TIME AROUND!
Isn't it about time for a better solution?
